Rocket Launch: Make your party a blast! Watch as the Mad Scientist launches a rocket 100 feet into the sky and see it return by parachute. The birthday child gets to keep the rocket that can be launched over and over again (with adult supervision, additional engines can be purchased at a local hobby shop). (Requires a medium/large size
backyard or park setting.)
Dry Ice: When you think of a Mad Scientist, the image of bubbling potions comes to mind, but did you know that this famous movie image is actually chunks of dry ice in colored water? Kids love to watch the vapor roll off dry ice, while the Mad Scientist makes a dry ice shower, shows a number of dry ice demonstrations, and explains what makes this ice so special.
Cotton Candy: The Mad Scientist will bring a cotton candy machine and make cotton candy right before your very eyes. Children will learn how heat changes the property of sugar crystals into a tasty treat. Who knew science could taste so good! (Requires electricity).
Kid in a Bubble: All of the guests in a Junior Party (for kids under age 5 only), gets to watch as the Mad Scientist puts each of them inside a giant soap bubble! Preschoolers love this finale. Get your camera ready because this is the photo op!
Magic Cube: This finale is a must for the Magic Party. Each child has the opportunity to put together this mysterious, magical (scientific!) mirrored cube, and learns magic tricks (scientific demonstrations) to show their friends. Each child gets to take home their very own Magic Cube!
Hovercraft Ride: Each child will take a wild ride on the Mad Science Hovercraft! The children will learn about air pressure by seeing how this type of vessel works. (Requires electricity and a large smooth surface like a driveway, with only a slight angle. Sorry, we can't do this in the street for safety reasons.)
Sun Bead Keychain: Spot invisible UV rays! With the Sun Bead Keychain you make, you can use the beads to determine if there is exposure to ultraviolet radiation. If there is, the beads change color! Figure out what factors affect the exposure.
Van de Graaff Generator: See the force of thousands of volts of static electricity from our Van de Graaff generator. (Requires electricity.) You won't feel a thing, but your hair will stand on end! Kids won't be shocked, but will be surprised by how much fun they’ll have.
