Are you looking for an exciting attraction to add to your school carnival?
Look no further! Here are some great special event Activity Booths, tailored just for school fundraisers.
Super Balls (make it and
then take it home in a small plastic cup)
- Slime (make it and then take it home in
a small plastic cup)
- Putty (make it and then take it home in a small
Birds (cut out bird, color it if you
want, and attach weights to the wing tips of the bird to allow it to balance on
the your fingertip)
Candy (usually eaten immediately, but you learn a little about how it is made first)
Hunt (examine our large mineral
collection, especially under a black light, and take home a collection of small
minerals you select from a bin, includes a card that describes the minerals.)
- Fossil Hunt (examine
large fossil samples and then take home a small collection of fossils you pick
out. Choose two from a collection of 8
types and 4 from the shark tooth bin.)
- Van de
Graaff generator (kids don’t take anything
home, they watch demonstrations about static electricity, see indoor lightning
and if the weather is dry, have the experience of having their hair stand on
- Hovercraft (kids
don’t take anything home, they have the experience of floating on a cushion of
air. The children sit on the hovercraft
and the Mad Scientist pulls them for a short ride. Loud as it is powered by a leaf blower.)
- Ultra Violet Bead Wristband (make it and wear it home. Beads
are white and turn color when exposed to ultraviolet light; these cycle back
and forth hundreds of times)
(kids don’t take anything home, they have the
experience of helping to build some simple water filters and observing their
effectiveness on dirty water. Kids also
examine pond water samples through microscopes and identify the pond life they
see. Best from May to October.)
Airplane Contest (kids choose a paper airplane design, fold it, test it and then enter
the contest. Needs approximately 30 ft
of space to test fly the planes to determine the best one)
- Instant Snow (make it
and then take it home in a small plastic cup.
The crystals turn into snow almost instantaneously but you can let it
dry out and do it over and over again. It takes several days to a week to dry
out the crystals at room temperature.)
Challenge (Chess master will play simultaneous chess games. Win and get a small magnetic chess set.)
Mad Science Activity Booths are interactive, action packed, grade appropriate, affordable, adaptable, and hassle-free. Cost of a booth is $130 per hour which includes 80 to 100 kids participating during the hour.
